Wooden Doll – Framed ⚓

A piece of folklore and a famous fixture on the Fish Quay. Sailors from across the globe visiting Shields have traditionally cut pieces off this ship’s figurehead for good luck. In the photograph, she stands exactly where her current incarnation stands, outside the Prince of Wales Tavern.
